Termination
Procedure
Remove
the connector components from the plastic bag and
identify the following items: Strain Relief Boot,Compression Collar
Housing, Compression Collar, Frame, Spring, Coupling
Nut, Ferrule retainer.
Place
the strain relief boot, compression collar housing,
compression
collar with the shoulder forward & frame on to
the fiber optic cable to be terminated.
Prepare the cable as per the diagram.

Place
the frame ensuring that the tabs are pointing forward
and the spring on to the fiber optic cable in such a way
that the frame is holding the aramid
yarn and a little bit of aramid yarn
about 7-10mm is still there on the back side of
the frame.
Clean the fiber with alcohol and cleaning wipe such as Kim
Wipes.
Insert a syringe tip in to the tube until it bottoms against
the ferrule. Inject epoxy into the connector body until a
small bead appears at the end of the ferrule. Do not overfill
or let epoxy flow out the back of the tube.
Insert the fiber in to the ferrule until the buffer bottoms
against the ferrule. There should be no epoxy running from
the back.
Cure epoxy as per the selected epoxy/adhesive
manufacturer recommendations.
Cleave the fiber.
Assemble the connector with the Coupling Nut and Ferrule
Retainer.
Polish the connector, inspect and install the dust cap to
prevent damage to the end face.
