Termination Procedure

Remove the connector components from the plastic bag.

Slide the strain relief boot, crimp sleeve and the assembled main body on to the cable.

Prepare the cable as per the diagram.

Clean the fiber with alcohol and cleaning wipe such as Kim Wipes.

Insert a syringe tip in to the tube until it bottoms against the ferrule. Inject epoxy into the connector body until a small bead appears at the end of the ferrule. Do not overfill or let epoxy flow out the back of the tube.

Insert the fiber in to the ferrule until the buffer bottoms against the ferrule. There should be no epoxy running from the back.

Cure epoxy as per the selected epoxy/adhesive manufacturer recommendations.

Cleave the fiber.

Assemble the connector.

Polish the connector, inspect and install the dust cap to prevent damage to the end face.
